Good news for graduates and students of the Civica Scuola di Cinema Luchino Visconti
Five productions, born in the School's milieu and realised by our students and graduates have been awarded and/or selected in the side events and contests at the 74° Mostra del Cinema di Venezia.
Social inclusion, multicultural issues and innovation are among the themes developed by our students to tell stories about contemporary world, through film language.
The short “Men’s fire” by Gaetano Mastrocinque, a fresh graduate of the Direction Course and his author Michele Grossi, graduate of the Screenwriting Course, is among the nineteen finalists of the II Award - I LOVE GAI – Giovani Autori Italiani, organised by SIAE (Italian Authorship Association)
“Jacqueline” realised by first year students Fulvio Testaverde, Andrea Angaroni and Francesco Gori, won the second prize of the video contest “Il Futuro di Milano”, organised by Fondazione Ente dello Spettacolo for Giardini d’Inverno; directors has been awarded at Hotel Excelsior - Lido of Venice. On the same occasion, the screening of the Collective Short realised by Civica students, editing all the best films presented for the contest.
The documentary “To My Father” by Gabriel Laderas and Alessio Tamborini, realised with the support of MiBACT’s call MigraArti 2017, won the Award for the Best Screenplay. The call is aiming to involve in creative arts long established immigrants’ communities and G2.
Last but not least, "Epigenetics – The memory of the world in our body", the popular science doc produced by the School and realised by our graduate Paolo Turro won the Filmagogia Award “Cinema and Training” Venice 2017-09-04.
