Student Academy Awards 2015 (OSCARS) Competition Announcement
The 42nd annual Student Academy Awards competition is now open. As we have for the past 35 years, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is pleased to invite the Film and Television Academies of the International Liaison Center of Schools of Cinema (CILECT) to participate.
Each CILECT member school is invited to enter one student production for consideration in the Foreign Film Award category. Up to three medals (gold, silver, bronze) will be awarded to the top films as judged by active members of the Academy. In addition to receiving a cash grant, the winning filmmakers will be flown to Los Angeles to participate in the various industry-related activities we have planned for the Student Academy Awards week. This will culminate with the annual Student Academy Awards Ceremony on Friday September 18th.
The deadline for entries is June 1, 2015. All submissions must be done online through the FilmFreeway.com submission platform. The competition rules and instructions as well as a link to the online submission portal are available from our website at www.oscars.org/saa. If you have any questions, please contact Shawn Guthrie at email@example.com.
