Mission & Strategy
CISA (International Academy of Audiovisual Sciences) is a College of Higher Education for Cinema and Audiovisual Media. Students learn the skills they need to successfully work in the film industry. CISA collaborates with the Locarno Film Festival as Academic Partner.
CISA fosters freedom, critical engagement, practice and teamwork. It provides a creative, international context in which artistic expression and technical expertise are intertwined in a learning-by-doing approach.
The curriculum starts with two years of study of the moving image as experience and design. A specialization year is dedicated to the consolidation of the necessary skills to engage a professional career as director, creative producer, director of photography, sound designer or editor.
