SUBMIT YOUR DOCUMENTARY PROJECT TO DOCS IN THESSALONIKI
Docs in Thessaloniki is your cost effective fast track to the European and international documentary market, and through the new outreach program also an opportunity for you to find new ways of reaching your audiences. In Thessaloniki you will develop your project, network with colleagues and pitch to financiers in a relaxed and constructive atmosphere. Submission deadline for projects is on January 6, 2017. If you want to take part in the forum without a project, you can apply as well.
Docs in Thessaloniki consists of a five-day program, where 21 selected documentary projects will be developed, re-written and pitched to a panel of international financiers. The pitching session is followed by individual meetings between pitchers and financiers for in-depth discussions about future collaborations. For a selected group of top-projects the new outreach programme will offer you an opportunity to develop your outreach strategy, optimise distribution plans and enhance audience engagement.
Docs in Thessaloniki takes place on March 3-7, 2017 in connection with the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival and market. The pitching forum, festival and market form a great opportunity to develop your project, see films and meet international financiers in a creative and constructive environment during springtime in Greece.
Deadline for submitting your project is on January 6, 2017.
In order to submit a project for pitching at Docs in Thessaloniki please send in English a 2-page description of your documentary project. We prefer receiving applications accompanied by visual material; either as material already shot for the submitted project or as a previous work. Before submitting a project, please read the details about submitting a project for Docs in Thessaloniki. The submission guidelines are available at the EDN website via the following link:https://www.edn.dk/activities/edn-activities-2017/docs-in-thessaloniki-2017/
Participating without a project
If you do not have a project ready to pitch, you can still take part in Docs in Thessaloniki. We have a number of seats available for participants without a project. You will take part in the full Docs in Thessaloniki program on equal terms with the pitching participants. Only exception is not having a concrete project developed and pitched.
Docs in Thessaloniki is organized by EDN – European Documentary Network in collaboration with the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival-Images of the 21st Century. Docs in Thessaloniki is supported by the Creative Europe program of The European Union.
