Meet the new Comms and Admin Coordinator
We are happy to announce that Kirsi Rinne from Aalto University, Finland has joined Geect as a new Communications and Administrative Coordinator. Kirsi has had an extensive career at the ELO Film School and also worked as a Research Funding Advisor at University of the Arts Helsinki for the past four years.
This new position emphasizes open interaction and collaboration with members. Whether you have questions, need assistance, or wish to discuss new ideas, please reach out to Kirsi. The New Statutes and Action Plan for 2025
Draft of the New Geect Statutes has been prepared by the Task Force and was jointly discussed at the Geect Leadership Symposium in Bratislava on June 8. It contains changes and updates with the aim of clarifying our strategic objectives.
Draft of the Action Plan for 2025 outlines planned conferences and events, publications, outreach, research activities and communications for 2025.
These documents will be sent to those schools attending Beijing. All kinds of comments, thoughts and feedback are more than welcome.
Information Requests
GEECT is collecting a list of best practices and recommendations to promote equity, diversity and inclusion. We welcome any initiatives, projects, studies or recommendations you are aware of or your school is carrying out or involved in at the moment. One of the examples on the list is the publication by EUA from 2019.

For the Action Plan we are now gathering information on the festivals your school is annually participating in. The idea is to facilitate networking and organise informal and easy-going gatherings, lunches, coffees, drinks during these events. Please send your list to Kirsi as soon as possible.
