We are looking for a film practitioner with skills and experience in film production to teach on our vibrant and established BA (Hons) Film Production course. You will have a good understanding of professional film and/or TV production, and experience of teaching a range of essential film production skills to students who have recently completed A Levels, BTEC etc. Knowledge of digital film technologies, including DSLR and Avid/Premiere is important.

You will be a strong and effective communicator, sharing our passion for all aspects of film practice, production and education.

BA (Hons) Film Production is a specialist course, in the context of a unique specialist Art, Design, Media & Performance institution. The BA (Hons) Film Production and MA Film Production courses utilise a specialist award structure modelled on the contemporary film industry and contextualised by a philosophy of practical learning in an academic environment.

You will be an enthusiastic practitioner who is able to convey an in depth knowledge of film production to Masters and Undergraduate degree level students.

You will take responsibility for managing the effective learning of all students, including setting, supervising and assessing work. You will also contribute to the development of the course curriculum and undertake a range of tutorial and pastoral responsibilities.

You should be able to work as part of a team with a commitment to a student centred approach.  Our ideal applicant will have both a wide range of experience in Film techniques and in the teaching of film.
