FilmEU / European University 

 

IADT is a founding partner of FilmEU, the collective name for a range of international projects that encompass the activities of the European University for Film and Media Arts, and include projects funded by Erasmus+, Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, the EIT and the HEA. The basket of funded projects cover all of the knowledge square with international co-operation at the core of its DNA. 

 

FilmEU Academic Co-ordinator (Lecturer Structured). A senior academic position leading out on a number of FilmEU educational projects.  A significant priority for this post will be the implementation and co-ordination and teaching on the new FilmEU Joint International BA in Film. This, first of a kind, 3 year BA will be taught across at least 6 schools. 

In addition, the appointee will provide academic and discipline related leadership, and input across several other work packages in the FilmEU “cosmos”. Current salary scale €63,518 to €98,278 per annum. 

 

FilmEU Research Co-ordinator (Post-Doctoral Researcher II). The Research Co-ordinator will play a crucial role in the capacitation of IADT and FilmEU’s R&D activities with a priority around the development of talent across the alliance (with an emphasis on training for all stakeholders), including HR capacitation, and the creation and acceleration of Artistic Research “Labs”. Other primary areas of intervention include; further development of a joint research agenda for Artistic Research; joint management structures and related policies; digital tools for capacitation and open science; outreach; the set-up of a joint research office; the development of research clusters and centres; oversight of ongoing research projects and the development and writing of further funding opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity to help set the research agenda for an Alliance of eight HEIs. Current salary scale €50,540 to €54,965 per annum. 

 

Operations Manager – FilmEU / European University (APO)  This specialist post holder will be responsible for a range of duties leading the day to day operations management of the FilmEU initiative which encompasses all IADT’s expanding engagement with our European University. Working across IADT and all the FilmEU partners, this postholder will sit on FilmEU’s Project Management Office and lead out on all the operational and administrative activities that support the European University. 

 

Faculty of Film, Art + Creative Technology 

 

Assistant Lecturer in Character and Makeup Design (Design for Film). The BA (Hons) Design for Film is a specialist programme encompassing five distinct pathways; Set design, costume design, character and makeup design, modelmaking and games VFX. The appointee will be primarily concerned with the character and makeup design pathway but will work on common collaborative and speculative projects across the programme. Current salary scale is €43,073 – €58,726

 

Senior Technical Officer – Faculty of Film, Art and Creative Technologies. We are seeking a dynamic, experienced and organised person for the post of the Senior Technical Officer – Faculty of Film, Art and Creative Technologies. The STO plays a key role in the academic, administrative and technical lifecycle of the faculty and the Institute. Salary scale is currently €64,316. – €76,187 per annum.  

 

Videographer – Creative Futures Academy (Technician Grade). The videographer will be a highly motivated individual who is student and stakeholder focused and who has the energy, capacity and commitment to work closely with management, staff, students, and external clients/agencies of the Institute. The Videographer will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of education provision for the Creative Futures Academy and IADT in general by producing engaging and effective video content that supports teaching, learning, and the overall educational experience for students and educators alike. Current salary scale is €35,429 to €51,076 per annum.
