FILM BUSINESS +
by Alessandro Masi & Tania Sarra
May 3-7 and 10, 2021
2.30pm – 6.30pm CET
Do you want to know how to avoid getting stuck in development hell like Guido in ‘8½’ by Federico Fellini and instead dance lightly through it by mastering the film business and owning powerful pitching skills?
The course has a practical essence and is aimed to build up on theoretical knowledge of the film business, from development and financing to production, marketing and distribution. You will learn how to design and build pitch deck and business plan for a feature film, make a project out of a concept or idea, and pitch it to investors, financiers, distribution and production companies effectively. Participants, either individually or in teams, will work on their own film project (or, if they don’t have one, can pick a film that has already been made), and will be guided step-by-step by the instructors and their special guests through the essential elements of a successful pitch which will be simulated and judged by industry professionals in the final pitching contest !!
