As night falls, the inhabitants of a damned village lost in the countryside witness the unexplained death of their hens. In the attempt to find a culprit they track a strange man who keeps his twin brother locked in a room, punishing him in the name of God for succumbing to gluttony because of his affection for hen eggs.
