Following a medical error, Caroline underwent a thoracotomy in 2010. When she was discharged from hospital, the doctors prescribed an opioid to help her cope with the pain. More than 10 years of this treatment have had serious consequences for Caroline. She is trying to wean herself off the drug, which will succeed during this film.
