Miranda is a college student who is writing a thesis about haiku, with an experimental twist that her advisor doesn't understand. The little communication between them becomes more difficult because she speaks all kinds of languages (without understanding them) except for Spanish (the only one she can understand). In the middile of the stressful moment she is having, Miranda buys a painting of the sea with a leak.
