Major Achievements: Małgorzata Szumowska. Film director and screenwriter. Lodz Film School direction graduate. Directed the following feature films: „Ono”, „33 sceny z życia” and „W imię…”. The first film which brought professional success was a student documentary „Cisza” awarded at the festivals in Mexico, Munich, and Cracow. However, the film which received most prizes was the feature „33 sceny z życia” - the prizes include a Special Jury Award at the Locarno International Film Festival, and a Polish Film Academy Award, the Eagle for the Best Film in 2008. The film "W imię..." received Teddy Award for the best gay film of the Berlinale 2014. For her recent film "Body/Ciało" Szumowska got the Silver Bear Award for Best Direction at the Berlin International Film Festival 2015.
