The School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) at NTU Singapore invites qualified academics to apply for a faculty position as Assistant / Associate Professor (tenure track) in Digital Filmmaking. 

Closing date for applications: 11 February 2017. The successful candidate is expected to assume duty in August 2017.

Candidates with expertise in digital filmmaking together with one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply:

1) Narrative filmmaking (fiction or non-fiction, including experimental and emerging forms) 
2) Digital Film Editing and/or Post-Production
3) Digital Film Cinematography
4) Film Writing
5) Film Production
6) Other cinematic and digital time-based filmmaking techniques/technology
7) Knowledge of film history and theory, especially experimental processes

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a strong background in professional filmmaking and have university-level teaching experience, including mentoring of Final Year Projects and post-graduate theses. A strong national and international reputation in the field, including a significant exhibition/screening at well-known film festivals/events and academic publishing record, is a priority. A terminal MFA or equivalent, or PhD degree is preferred. In lieu of an advanced degree, the applicant must possess significant exhibition, performance, screening or related professional experience in their area of expertise commensurate with appointment at the senior level. The successful applicant will contribute to the School’s development of the undergraduate and graduate curricula as well as to research within the arts, design and media disciplines.

International applicants with a background in transdisciplinary and multicultural practice and research are encouraged. The successful applicant is expected to maintain an active research/creative production profile, as well as a commitment to teaching and service to the school. An open, collaborative approach and willingness to work across areas and departments of the school, and university is a priority. This position will also involve administrative activities and committee participation.
