The Mobile Film Festival has been organized for 10 years in France. It is a short film festival based on a simple principle: 1 Mobile, 1 Minute, 1 Film. Mobile Film Festival objectives are to discover and accompany young filmmakers. By choosing the most simple but efficient technology, mobile phones, we invite filmmakers to be part of a competition with no financial constraints, everybody will start from the same line.
Our philosophy is to help young filmmakers to become more professional. So we created 5 years ago a grant of 15.000 € for the Grand Prize, to make a short film in 1 year. Final budgets production of the short films were between 60.000 € and 185.000 € and went through festivals all over the world.
This 11th edition is special because the United Nations asked us to organize a worldwide edition following the same rules 1 Mobile, 1 Minute, 1 Film and 1 theme ACT ON CLIMATE CHANGE. We are much honored to have been chosen by the UN to defend such an important theme “Act on Cimate Change”. This theme is linked with the COP21, International Summit on Climate Change held in Paris in December. We will be holding the prize ceremony in December in Paris as an official event of the COP21. For this occasion, we want to be the voice of a generation of young filmmakers sharing their vision of the world and how to act on climate change.
For this very special edition, we have decided to set up a special grant of 30.000 €. The winner will be helped by a producer from his country, he already knows or we find one producer for him.
