Whistling Woods International (WWI) is India’s premier institute of Film, Communication & Creative Arts. Founded by one of India’s leading filmmaker – Subhash Ghai, WWI has been successfully delivering world-class education in all creative & technical aspects of Film, Communication & Creative Arts to students since 2006.

The Hollywood Reporter has rated Whistling Woods International amongst the Ten Best Film Schools in the world on multiple occasions. WWI has also been regarded as a Global Institute of Influence by Forbes in 2015. It has also been awarded the Best Institute for Creative & Performing Arts in India by FICCI (The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry) in 2019.

    Twice in their semester. As part of their Semester 5 project and as part of their Semester 8 project.

  • Computer Animation Films

    Student create computer animated short films and snippets across Semester 3, Semester 4, Semester 6 and Semester 8. This comprises of Digital 2D Animation and 3D Animation.

  • Experimental Films

    Student create experimental films as part of their ‘Digital Art’ course and as part of their ‘Stop Motion Workshop’.

  • Music Videos

    The Motion Graphics students dwell into creating Music Videos regularly by either creating tracks of their own or by collaborating with the students of the Music Department.

  • Interactive Media Applications

    Students learn and put into action interactive media conceptualization as part of their ‘Alternative Technologies and Platforms’ course in Semester 5.

  • Art Installations/Exibitions

    Students collaborate and exhibit in the annual WWI School of Creative arts exhibition called ‘Design Conclave’. Additionally, students create Art Installations under the supervision of faculty members for the WWI Annual Festival called ‘Celebrate Cinema’.

    At the end of the semester there is a critical review wherein the faculty members and the students discuss what were the problems that students faced during the making of the game.

Govind Padmasoorya, popularly known by his initials GP, is an Indian television presenter actor who works mainly in Malayalam cinema and a few Telugu films. He made his debut in the movie Atayalangal directed by M. G. Sasi. He became popular through the dance reality show D 4 Dance.

Rajshri Deshpande

Major Achievements:

Rajshri Deshpande is an Indian actress and activist. She gained international recognition with her portrayal of Laxami in Pan Nalin’s Angry Indian Goddesses. This was followed by the titular role of Durga in Sanal Kumar Sasidharan’s Sexy Durga, which won the Hivos Toger Award at the Rotterdam Film Festival.
