CILECT Asia-Pacific Association (CAPA) is the regional association of the CILECT member schools in the Asia-Pacific Region.

Prof. Dr. Yu Ran

Communication University of China (CUC), China

Dr. Yu Ran is Full Professor, TV School, and Vice-Chair of the Convergence Media Center of Communication University of China. He has been teaching photography and film production classes for 12 years and has established the most productive student film studio lab out of which student films were selected by Toronto Short Film Festival, Los Angeles Independent Film Festival and others. He is winner of CILECT Teaching Award 2019 (Promising Young Teacher) and the leading teacher of Guang Ming Cinema project. He has won the “National Best Works Award”, the “Annual Top Ten Documentary Award”, the “Beijing Young Teacher Teaching Competition” and many others.

Dr. Kym Campbell

Vice-Chair

Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore

Dr. Kym Campbell heads digital storytelling, broadcast, and cinema studies at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, with ties to the School of Art Design and Media. With directorial, producing and performance roles spanning the UK, Singapore, India, and Australia, his expertise covers drama, documentary and news. Honours include the SST Technology Education Award (2017) and National Heritage Documentary Award (2015). His involvement in the inception and launch of the international network Channel News Asia (1997) was crucial. He is Acting Chair of CAPA and member of the Singapore Producers Association and IN-cube (Centre for Information Integrity).

Rahul Puri

Rahul Puri is Managing Director of Mukta Arts Limited & Head of Whistling Woods International, Mumbai, India. He has been involved in the development and the release of over 15 commercial films including ‘Aitraaz’, ‘Kisna’, ‘Shaadi Se Pehle’ ’36 Chinatown’, ‘Apna Sapna Money Money’, ‘Yuvvraaj’ as well as Mukta Searchlight’s first production, the critically acclaimed blockbuster ‘Iqbal’ (2005) for which he won the National Award for ‘Best Film on other Social Issues’. He handles the expansion of Mukta A2 Cinemas, India’s 6^th largest cinema chain which currently controls over 600 screens across India. He was the host of the CILECT Congress in 2018 at WWI. He regularly teaches in a variety of subjects from business to film and invites the cream of India’s film and media industry to interact with students at WWI across specializations.
