Mission & Strategy

The School of Interactive & Digital Media (SIDM) is centered on a dynamic mix of creativity, the applied arts and digital media technologies. It is committed to developing creative talents for a vast spectrum of applied arts industries, including the IDM, entertainment, edutainment, advertising and corporate communications sectors besides others. SIDM attracts and trains both local and regional talents for Singapore interactive and digital media industry.

SIDM Vision

SIDM’s vision is to be one of Asia’s finest school in interactive and digital media. We seek to enhance our programmes so as to be internationally recognized for our students work, staff capabilities, industry connections and up-to-date and industry relevant curriculum in concept art, animation, games design & development, visual effects, interaction design, motion graphics, digital entertainment technology and cross-media development.

Evangeline Neo

Field of Studies: Diploma in Digital Media Design
Major Achievements:

Evangeline Neo is a local comic artist., well known for her popular Facebook page, EVACOMICS. She has 49k fans on her page: https://www.facebook.com/evacomics
Her comics look into the cultural differences between Singapore and Japan. Much of this was based on her experiences while studying for her MBA (Masters in Business Administration) from Waseda University in Japan.

Tan Shi Han, Tan Li Xiong and Greyson He Shuguo

Field of Studies: Diploma in Digital Media Design (Animation)
Major Achievements:

SIDM Graduates Work on Assassin Creed Games Series
Tan Shi Han, Tan Li Xiong, and Greyson He Shuguo graduated in 2008 with Diplomas in Digital Media Design (Animation). After their NS, they enrolled in DigiPen Institute of Technology for an advanced diploma course. After their studies, they all applied to work in Ubisoft Singapore. At Ubisoft Singapore, they had the golden opportunity to work on the popular Assassin Creed games series.

Ho Wei Siong, Ellery Ng and Joshua Ngiam

Field of Studies: Diploma in Digital Media Design
Major Achievements:

Animagine was found by three SIDM alumni – Ho Wei Siong, Ellery Ng and Joshua Ngiam, who were coursemates from the Diploma in Digital Media Design. The company provides animation-based training for young adults and primary and secondary school students in addition to training production and services. In 2013, Animagine also won the Singapore Outstanding Enterprise Award 2013.

Hoong Boon Wai

Field of Studies: Diploma in Digital Entertainment Technology
Major Achievements:

Hoong Boon Wai, 23, was a third year student when he started developing his 2D Arcade Shooter game Phase Shift: Threats Beyond the Network. This Diploma in Digital Entertainment Technology graduate will be proudly launching Singapore’s first ever student-created PlayStation® game in the market.
Being a gamer himself, Boon Wai was inspired to create Phase Shift because he wanted to challenge himself to create a PlayStation® game from scratch. He consulted his lecturers who supported him, and eventually made the game his Final Year Project in 2010.
