John Mugubi, an Associate Professor of Film and Dramatic Arts at Kenyatta University in Nairobi, Kenya. Mugubi is the Vice-Chair, CARA. He has served as the founding Chairman of the Department of Film and Theatre Arts and Dean, School of Creative Arts, Film, and Media Studies. Mugubi’s extensive publications focus on Playwriting, Screenwriting, Dramatic Theory, and Film Genres. Mugubi serves as the Chairman of the Kenya Film Lecturers and Instructors Association. Mugubi is an accomplished producer and screenwriter, an active figure in theatre and music. He has mentored over 80 M.A. and Ph.D. candidates in Film and Theatre Arts.
