Mission & Strategy
The Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica, A.C. is public federal film school founded in 1975, its Honorary President was Luis Buñuel. The CCC focuses on teaching, promoting and inspiring the development of strong personal points of view in all areas of the theory and craft of filmmaking in an intense full-time program. Students shoot 5 film projects (2 fiction, 1 documentary and graduation film), as well as over 20 film exercises throughout their studies. All teachers are mentors, active in the film industry. The school offers the equipment and installations in order to cover the complete filmmaking process, from the camera to the screen.
The CCC has a first feature film program (Fiction and Documentary) in collaboration with the Mexican Film Institute that gives film direction and cinematography graduates the opportunity to shoot their first feature film, third year students of the school collaborate in key areas as main assistance. The school has produced over 21 feature films with this projects.
The CCC also has two year Scriptwriting and an Audiovisual and Cinematography Production Courses, as well as a Continuing Education Program that offers film education open to the general public in Mexico City and cities in other states, as well as a special documentary program for indigenous communities.
The CCC is a reference point in the national industry, graduates are positioned at the head of national independent studios, production, distribution and promotion companies as well as government cultural and film institutions. Recent indicators of the strength of our academic program are the presence of graduates and students at national and international film festivals and in the industries of other countries, mainly in the US.
