Mission & Strategy

The Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg was founded in 1991 as a non-profit limited liability company. Today, it is one of the most renowned international film schools. The project-oriented curriculum triggers learning by doing during all the different stages of a film and television production. More than 300 highly qualified experts from the film and media business are instructing the students as they are developing and producing their projects. Beside that, the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg is operating the Institute of Animation, Visual Effects and Digital Postproduction, and the European Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris for international co-productions. Filmakademie is putting a strong emphasis on international programs for incoming and outgoing students.
