Mission & Strategy
Cinematic education, including television, belongs to the realm of artistic education. Considering that the foundation of culture is always education, this educational sector, which has a direct connection and interdependence with culture, is necessary and of undeniable national utility. Not only from a cultural perspective but also economically. Besides being one of the most significant and sensitive fields of national education, it decisively contributes to the promotion of the film industry, television, and, in general, audiovisual media, which employ a large number of professionals.
The Stavrakos School is already in its second half-century of successful operation, continuing its history in the educational work it has undertaken and faithfully served since 1948. It constitutes the core and the leading center for professional Film and Television education in Greece, the primary cell that produces new generations of artists and technicians. Our long-standing experience, as well as the school’s prominent presence in the film industry for many decades, is indeed one of the main reasons why we are the preferred choice of the majority of young people every year.
