Mission & Strategy
Japan Institute of the Moving Image aims to produce the filmmakers who possess both the ability to tackle the rapid changes in knowledge and technology and the deep understanding of human beings. Our graduates will strive to create films with fresh sensibilities and specialised skills, or to pursue further cultural knowledge. They will all contribute to regional development through film related fields.
