Mission & Strategy
ESAV Marrakech, The Marrakech School of Visual Arts, is the first francophone school in the African continent which responds to the need for undergraduate education in the visual arts. A school open to international students, it embodies the spirit of cultural and social diversity, and it carries out that spirit through its policies and programs.
ESAV Marrakech has taken up the mission of bringing into being a new generation of artists and professionals in cinema, television, and the visual arts on the African continent. ESAV forms and supports its students in order for them to master the tools and language of contemporary visual communication in the service of the imagination and contemporary points of view which to this day have not found their voice.
A private institution for higher education geared to public service, ESAV Marrakech endeavors to:
– Nurture a new generation of artists and professionals – actors of the future, in the sectors of film, television, multimedia, and graphic design
– Compensate for the absence of a training school, in order to meet the strong demand for human resources created by reforms and in-depth modernisation in the Moroccan audiovisual landscape
– Develop an infrastructure to attract and support foreign film productions
