Set in a small rural Ireland, a troubled nineteen-year-old boy spends his days drinking in the local pub dreaming for a better life. Lick, a local mechanic, sees potential in Flick and offers him work at his garage which soon becomes a challenge for Flick as Mick‟s sexual orientation and a topic for debate among the local community. When Flick meets Sue, a young widow with two children, it seems that life is taking a turn for the better. However, it isn‟t long before Flick is confronted by the truth that he might never break his routine or leave his dead-end town.
