Lisbon, 1910. Pedro Mello is a 30 year-old man strongly devoted to the king of Portugal. But the Monarchy is being threatened by the increasing devotees of the Republic. Pedro decides to eliminate the main candidate to President of the first Republic of Portugal, the prestigious psychological doctor Miguel Bombarda. He doesn`t know that his motives are going to condemn him the rest of his life.
