Submit a Short on Film
Film Submissions are now being accepted for the 2016 KODAK Vision Award at the High Falls Film Festival.
Call for Entries: Short Films shot on film of any format (30 minute max)
Submissions are being accepted by High Falls Film Festival of shorts shot on film, to be considered for the KODAK Vision Award, which marries the festival’s mission with Kodak’s commitment to supporting the achievement of women in the industry.
Shorts made on film, under 30 minutes in length, are being accepted through Sept. 10. The winner will receive an in-kind grant of Kodak motion-picture film valued at $2,500, in the filmmaker’s choice of 35mm or 16mm for a future project. The winning short will be screened during this year’s festival, Nov. 10-14 in Rochester, N.Y., during a Kodak Shorts on Film program.
Each short shot on film submitted to High Falls Film Festival will be considered for the KODAK Vision Award. The film must be made by a woman, feature a woman in a strong leading role, or focus on women and their life experiences. Preference will be given to films made by women in a leadership role or roles, including director, screenplay writer, producer, and cinematographer, or a film focused on a woman’s story.
All genres are welcome, including live action narrative, live action documentary, animation, experimental, and hybrid. Judging will be based on storyline, editing, and production value.
